Press release on the attending the first major gathering of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the ASEAN Foreign Ministers 2023
On 1 February 2023 – At the invitation of Her Excellency Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia will lead a delegation to attend the 32nd ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) and ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ (AMM) Retreat, which will be held on 3-4 February 2023 in Jakarta.
The 32nd ACC Meeting will focus on the follow-up to the “ASEAN Leaders’Statement on the Application of Timor-Leste for ASEAN Membership”, and the “Declaration on the Blue Economy”. The Ministers will also discuss the priorities in 2023. In the AMM Retreat, the Ministers will deliberate on the follow-up to the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits, including the “ASEAN Leaders’ Review and Decision on the Implementation of the Five-Point Consensus” and the “Recommendations on Strengthening ASEAN’s Capacity and Institutional Effectiveness by the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Community’s Post-2025 Vision”, as well as exchange views on external relations, and regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
